1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern the sale of PIXWeather hardware and the associated data & support subscription, and the use of pixweather.io. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

2. The product

The PIXWeather Station is a solar-powered, autonomous weather and imaging station. The one-time station price includes the hardware, DDP delivery and the first year of the data & support subscription.

3. Pricing & payment

All prices are shown in the currency and amounts configured at checkout. Payment is processed securely by Teya. For private buyers, prices are inclusive of applicable VAT. EU businesses with a valid VAT number may enter it at checkout to apply the reverse-charge mechanism (0% VAT).

4. Data & support subscription

The first 12 months of data, cloud storage and support are included in the station price. From month 13 the subscription renews automatically each year at the rate shown at the time of purchase, charged to the payment method used at checkout. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.

5. Shipping & delivery

Stations ship DDP (Delivered Duty Paid). We prepay import duties, customs clearance and destination VAT where applicable, so there are no surprise charges on delivery. Estimated dispatch is shown at checkout; delivery times depend on destination and courier.

6. Warranty

The PIXWeather Station carries a manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, unauthorised modification, or force majeure. Contact support to initiate a warranty claim.

7. Returns & cancellation

If you are a consumer in the EU you have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days of delivery, provided the hardware is returned in resalable condition. Contact us before returning any item. Custom or commissioned deployments may be non-returnable; this will be stated before purchase.

8. Acceptable use of data & API

Station data and images are provided for your own operational use. The REST API is offered to active subscribers for integration into flight-planning, dashboard, research or building-management systems. You may not resell raw API access or misrepresent the data source.

9. Service availability

We aim for continuous service but do not guarantee uninterrupted transmission. Cellular coverage, solar conditions and force majeure can affect data delivery. Your station hardware remains yours permanently regardless of subscription status.

10. Limitation of liability

PIXWeather provides situational information to support — not replace — your own judgement. You remain responsible for operational and safety decisions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the product.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “last updated” date.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Iceland. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Icelandic courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
